Cookie Notice
Frenzy IRL Inc. ("Frenzy," "we," "us") uses a small set of cookies and similar technologies on the Frenzy apps and on getfrenzy.app. This notice explains what they are and how you can control them. Our Privacy Policy describes the personal information those technologies can collect.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files a website stores on a browser. The Frenzy apps also use mobile software kits (SDKs), device storage, and Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Those tools can collect or store identifiers and events on your device. They are not all browser cookies, and this notice covers them because they do similar work.
2. The website
The public site at getfrenzy.app does not set analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or social-media cookies. It does not use a cookie banner because those non-essential cookies are not in use. Pages you open are served so the site can function, including remembering the language you pick in the language control when the site stores that choice in your browser.
Our internal admin panel, which is not part of the public site, uses a session cookie so authorized staff can stay signed in. That cookie is not set when you browse getfrenzy.app or use the Frenzy app.
3. The app
| Technology | Provider | What it is for | What it processes | How you control it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session storage | On your device | Keeps you signed in | Session token in device secure storage | Log out, or delete the app |
| Amplitude | Amplitude, Inc. | Product analytics | User id, email, username, onboarding status, screen and product events, App Tracking Transparency status, and notification events from our servers | Device settings, the iOS tracking prompt, or email hi@getfrenzy.app |
| Sentry | Functional Software, Inc. | Crashes and errors | Error and diagnostic data. Server reports are configured without Sentry's default personal-data collection | Email hi@getfrenzy.app |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging | Push notifications | Device token, notification title, body, image, and data such as a chat or route | Turn notifications off in the app or in device settings | |
| App Tracking Transparency | Apple | Asks permission before tracking on iOS | Whether you allowed tracking. We store that status. We do not store the IDFA in our database | The iOS tracking prompt and Settings |
If you allow App Tracking Transparency, Frenzy may use that permission to measure advertising and to improve the Service. The app sends the permission status to Amplitude with analytics events. We do not sell personal information, and we do not drop advertising cookies on the website.
GIF search sends the words you type to Giphy. Photo files you upload are stored with Cloudflare. Those are service features described in the Privacy Policy, not website cookies.
4. Your choices
You can refuse or withdraw App Tracking Transparency in iOS Settings. You can turn off notifications in the app and in device settings. You can log out to remove the session token from the app. Browser controls can clear site data for getfrenzy.app. Blocking every technology can stop sign-in, notifications, or parts of nearby discovery.
Email hi@getfrenzy.app if you want to ask about these tools or exercise a privacy right. We normally process account-deletion requests within 3 business days.
5. Changes
We will update the date on this notice when we change it. Continued use of Frenzy after an update means you acknowledge the revised notice.
